Engineering Zero Latency

1. The IF-X1 Coprocessor

Traditional digitizers send raw capacitance and pressure data to the tablet, which then must filter the noise, calculate the vector, apply the brush engine settings, and render the pixels. This pipeline takes time.

We built the IF-X1 ASIC to process the sensor math directly on the pen. It calculates pressure velocity (how fast you are pressing down, not just how hard), tilt delta, and micro-accelerations at 1000Hz.

2. Optical Strain Gauge

Standard styluses use a physical spring to measure pressure. As the spring compresses, the resistance changes. Springs have physical hysteresis—they bounce back slightly, causing wavy lines on slow diagonal strokes (the dreaded "jitter").

Interface uses an optical sensor measuring the microscopic deflection of a rigid titanium rod. There are no moving parts. The result is perfectly straight diagonal lines, even when drawn at 1mm per second.
